THE SILLY SOCKS CLUB
Striped socks, polka dots, cartoon and rainbow socks, starry socks, jungle socks, Disney and balloon socks. Jenny loved silly socks.
It was Jenny’s first day at school. She wanted to wear something special. She picked out her favorite socks.
Her teacher noticed her bright socks. She said she liked them because they made her smile.
The next day, a new girl came to class. Her name was Anne. She was wearing silly socks too. Jenny noticed right away.
They ate lunch together and walked around the playground showing off their silly socks to all the other kids. Jenny and Anne became best friends.
On Tuesday Jenny bought Anne a present. Jenny laughed when she saw that Anne had one for her too. Guess what? They both bought each other the same thing. Silly socks!
The next day, two more girls were wearing silly socks. Jenny and Anne started a silly socks club and they all ate lunch together.
Every day, more kids came to school wearing silly socks, and they joined them at their lunch table. They had on striped socks, polka dots, cartoon and rainbow socks, starry socks, jungle socks, Disney and balloon socks. And they all loved silly socks.
Pretty soon everyone in class was wearing them – even the teacher! And when she modeled them for her students, everybody laughed.
Jenny and Anne decided to have a silly socks fundraiser. The teacher helped them set it up so they could sell silly socks in school to raise money to help kids in Africa. Kids helping kids.
After that, everyone in school was wearing them. They wore striped socks, polka dots, cartoon and rainbow socks, starry socks, jungle socks, Disney and balloon socks. They all loved silly socks - even the Principal! Guess what? Everybody laughed when he modeled them too.
And soon the whole town was wearing them – policemen, firemen, doctors and waiters, shop owners, plumbers, nurses and curators. Everyone in town wore striped socks, polka dots, cartoon and rainbow socks, starry socks, jungle socks, Disney and balloon socks. The whole town loved silly socks, even the Mayor!
Because of Jenny, a town in Africa has a new school. Guess what? They wear striped socks, polka dots, cartoon and rainbow socks, starry socks, jungle socks, Disney and balloon socks. The new school loves silly socks.
